Robert Anderson, DMD
Meet Pasadena Endodontist, Dr. Anderson
Dr. Anderson was raised in Eugene, Oregon. He received a Bachelor of Science (Biology/Chemistry) degree from the University of Oregon in 2001. He then went on to attain his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2006 from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Anderson joined an established practice in Portland and after five years of practicing the full scope of general dentistry, he developed a strong passion for the field of Endodontics. In 2013, the University of Southern California awarded Dr. Anderson his Certification in the Specialization of Endodontics.
“I am grateful to have had the opportunity to complete my training in Endodontics under the guidance of Dr. James Simon before he sadly passed away this last winter. He was a leader in our field and had a profound impact on my education while at USC.”
Dr. Anderson utilizes a strong scientific approach and modern techniques in practicing Endodontics. “I am fortunate to be practicing in an era when the Surgical Operating Microscope and advanced digital radiography were developed. By combining technology with sound clinical techniques, we can achieve optimal results with greater precision and efficiency, making the root canal procedure more comfortable for patients.”
Dr. Anderson is also aware that many patients have high anxiety when they hear the term “root canal”: “My responsibility as an endodontist is to understand my patients’ concerns and goals before treating their tooth. I want them to feel that together we have chosen the best treatment option for their long term dental health. Once treatment begins, I want the experience to be comfortable and the clinical result to be excellent.”
When he is not practicing, Dr. Anderson enjoys reading, golfing, surfing, and spending time with family and friends. “Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest, I am really enjoying the sunshine here in Southern California. I continue to appreciate the year round recreational opportunities that this area provides.”
